Arrival in Belgrade – Historic City Orientation

Upon arrival at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, meet your representative and transfer to the hotel. After check-in and some relaxation, begin exploring Serbia’s lively capital with a walk-through of Knez Mihailova Street, the city’s main pedestrian and shopping boulevard lined with cafés, heritage buildings and boutiques. Continue towards the imposing Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park, strategically located above the meeting point of the Sava and Danube rivers. Explore its ancient walls, gateways and viewpoints while learning about the many empires that shaped Belgrade. Later, visit Republic Square, see the National Theatre and experience the atmospheric streets of the old city. The evening may be spent enjoying Serbian cuisine in the traditional bohemian quarter of Skadarlija. Overnight stay in Belgrade.

Day 2

Belgrade – Golubac Fortress – Lepenski Vir – Djerdap National Park

After an early breakfast, depart eastwards along the scenic Danube River towards Golubac Fortress, one of Serbia’s most spectacular medieval landmarks. Positioned dramatically at the entrance to the Iron Gates Gorge, the fortress features powerful stone towers rising directly beside the river and offers impressive views across the Danube. Continue to the archaeological site of Lepenski Vir, one of Europe’s most important prehistoric settlements. The modern visitor centre displays ancient foundations, sculptures and artefacts that reveal the life of communities that inhabited the Danube region thousands of years ago. Later, journey through Djerdap National Park, famous for the Iron Gates Gorge, forested mountains, archaeological heritage and panoramic Danube viewpoints. Depending on time and road conditions, enjoy scenic stops overlooking the river before proceeding to Donji Milanovac or the surrounding Djerdap area. Overnight stay in Donji Milanovac/Djerdap region.

Day 3

Djerdap – Belgrade City Tour

After breakfast, enjoy the peaceful Danube scenery before returning to Belgrade. On arrival, continue sightseeing with a visit to the magnificent Church of Saint Sava, one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world and an important symbol of the Serbian capital. Drive past the government buildings and historic landmarks of central Belgrade before visiting Zemun, a charming riverside district known for its Austro-Hungarian architecture, cobbled streets and relaxed promenade. Walk to Gardoš Tower for panoramic views across the rooftops and the Danube, followed by leisure time at the waterfront cafés. The evening is free for shopping or exploring Belgrade’s energetic nightlife. Overnight stay in Belgrade.

Day 4

Belgrade – Fruška Gora – Sremski Karlovci – Petrovaradin – Novi Sad

After breakfast, check out and travel towards northern Serbia. Begin with a scenic drive through Fruška Gora National Park, an area of forest-covered hills, vineyards, walking trails and historic Orthodox monasteries. Stop at one of the traditional monasteries or panoramic locations to experience the peaceful countryside. Continue to Sremski Karlovci, a picturesque Baroque town celebrated for its cultural heritage, elegant architecture and winemaking traditions. Walk through the central square to see the Patriarch’s Palace, Four Lions Fountain, historic churches and charming pastel-coloured buildings. Later, proceed to the impressive Petrovaradin Fortress, often called the “Gibraltar of the Danube.” Explore its vast courtyards and enjoy sweeping views over the river and Novi Sad. Cross into Novi Sad and stroll through Freedom Square, admire the City Hall and the colourful Name of Mary Church, followed by a walk along lively Zmaj Jovina Street. Overnight stay in Novi Sad.

Day 5

Novi Sad – Tara National Park – Mokra Gora – Zlatibor

After an early breakfast, depart Novi Sad and journey towards western Serbia, where the scenery gradually changes from open countryside to forested mountains. Travel through the beautiful surroundings of Tara National Park, known for dense pine forests, deep valleys, wildlife and impressive viewpoints above the Drina River. Continue to Mokra Gora, a traditional mountain settlement famous for the historic Šargan Eight Railway. Subject to seasonal operation and availability, enjoy a memorable narrow-gauge train journey through tunnels, forests and mountain curves designed in the shape of the number eight. Visit Drvengrad, also known as Küstendorf, a unique wooden village created in traditional Serbian style, with timber houses, cobbled lanes and cultural spaces. Later, continue to Zlatibor, Serbia’s popular mountain resort, and check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Zlatibor.

Day 6

Tara National Park Excursion – Mountain Viewpoints and Drina Scenery

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion into Tara National Park, one of Serbia’s most beautiful protected natural areas. Depending on weather, accessibility and the group’s fitness level, enjoy a nature walk through the forest or visit additional panoramic areas, mountain lakes and traditional villages. The park’s untouched landscapes and fresh mountain atmosphere make this one of the most rewarding nature experiences of the tour. Return to Zlatibor in the evening and enjoy free time around the resort centre and lake promenade. Overnight stay in Zlatibor.

Day 7

Zlatibor Region – Gostilje Waterfall – Stopića Cave – Sirogojno

Walk along the illuminated visitor path and admire the dramatic rock chambers shaped over thousands of years. Later, visit Sirogojno Open-Air Museum, where traditional wooden houses, workshops and household displays preserve the rural lifestyle of the Zlatibor region. Learn about local crafts, architecture and village traditions before returning to Zlatibor. Spend the final evening relaxing, shopping for local products or enjoying a traditional Serbian dinner.
