Arrive at Hubli, report to the coach, proceed to Badami – formerly known as Vatapi, it was the regal capital of the Badami Chalukyas. Overnight stay at Badami. |
After Breakfast, visit three small towns of Karnataka, i.e., Badami, Airhole and Pattadakallu, which are also UNESCO sites famous for many temple complexes of Hindu and Dravidian architecture style. Morning, we explore the Badami caves – a Hindu and Jain temple complex. these temples are carved out of soft sandstone and supported by stone columns and brackets. Get astonished by the various intricate stone carvings at these temples. Later, proceed to Airhole to explore various temple remains. It is a tranquil village situated on the banks of the Mala Prabha River and referred to as 'cradle of Hindu / Dravidian temple architecture'. Travel to Patadakallu to witness the impressive series of temples, including the masterpiece 'The temple of Virupaksa' built by Queen Loka Mahadevi to commemorate her husband's victory. After Breakfast, visit Gol Gumbaz – a tomb of Mohammed Adil Shah, its circular dome is said to be the second largest in the world after St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Later visit Ibrahim Rauza, also called as "Taj Mahal of the Deccan,” is a tomb of Ibrahim Adil Shah II and his Queen. Explore Vijayapura Fort, where you can see a large canon from 16th century "Malik–E–Maidan toph". Arrive at Hospate in the evening. Overnight stay at Hospate. |
After Breakfast, explore Hampi - a medieval Hindu Kingdom of Vijayanagar and also a UNESCO site. Hampi, originally known as Pampa-kshetra, was the Capital of Vijayanagar. Millions of tourists visit Hampi to see the temples, its monolithic sculptures, and monuments for their excellent workmanship. Visit monuments like Shri Virupaksa Temple, Statue of Lakshmi Narasimha, Sri Krishna Temple, Shri Vijayavitthala Temple, Lotus Mahal, Royal Palace remains, Push Karni, Elephant Stables, etc. Return to Hosapete in the evening. After breakfast, proceed to Hubli. En route visit Anegundi village, previously called KishKindha, situated on the banks of the Tungabhadra River, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a thrilling coracle ride (subject to operation) on the Tungabhadra River. Arrive at Hubali in the evening. Overnight stay at Hubali. |
After breakfast, proceed to visit Unkal Lake, Nrupatunga Betta, Indira Gandhi Glass House, Sri Chandramouleshwara Swami Gudi, Idgah Maidan, Honnakeri Mallayya Devasthana, and Shri Siddharoodha Swami Math. After that, return to your hotel for an overnight stay. |
